Shindaiwa’s 300A Welder Generator Gets Customised Makeover

Welder Generators and ATEX Lighting in the UK

A 300A welder generator from Shindaiwa has been ‘pimped up’ in order to fit on the back of a customised Land Rover rig for H Mell and Sons.

The family owned fabrication services provider, which operates throughout South Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire for a wide range of industries including agriculture, rail, petrochemical and transport, needed a compact, lightweight welder that had the versatility to MIG, Stick and TIG weld on site from a single machine.

Weighing in at just 340Kg, Shindaiwa’s 300A welder generator had the power and three phase output that could operate a variety of site equipment.

H Mell and Sons director Chris Mell said: “We have built a reputation over the past 40 years for delivering excellence and first class customer service, which are attributes shared by Shindaiwa. Investment in plant sits at the heart of our business and Shindaiwa’s welding rig is our latest purchase. It will be installed into a chassis for vehicle mounting that will be used in the field to deliver significant advantages in terms of deployment and start-up time.”

The 300A not only offers H Mell and Sons versatility in terms of performance, it has been adapted to equip several storage solutions for ancillary equipment. It can also accommodate two people to work simultaneously, so there is enough power for one operator to weld from the welding terminals and one from the phase three outlet.

Shindaiwa Managing Director, Andy Munford, said: “I have known Chris and the team at H Mell and Sons for over 30 years and understand the high standards they expect from their suppliers. It is therefore very pleasing that the quality of our Shindaiwa welder generator and the service we provide are being well received by H Mell and Sons.”

Shindaiwa has been manufacturing welder generators for over 40 years and launched in the UK and Eire in 2010 having gained tremendous credibility in the industrial workplace.
