Ten is the Magic Number for Shindaiwa

Welder Generators and ATEX Lighting in the UK

Wolverhampton based construction industry supplier, Shindaiwa Ltd has sold 10 welder generators to Bristol based CHS Plant and Tool Hire.

Following the acquisition of CHS by a local family run firm, the plant and tool hire specialist needed to update its fleet of welder generators. Having carried out field trials with several manufacturers, Shindaiwa’s ECO 300 and 420s plus PowerCenter 15 generator came out on top.

The ECO range stood out in terms of low noise levels, three phase output and long running times due to fuel efficiency and large tank size. Furthermore, the ECO 420 impressed with its dual operator outputs, enabling two people to weld simultaneously from a single machine.

The 15kVA, 3 phase PowerCenter generator, which can power onsite equipment such as compressors, MIG welders and plasma cutters, also proved a winner.

CHS Plant and Tool Hire director Claire Bruce said: “We have been impressed with Shindaiwa from the very start of our journey. The products were the best in terms of performance, efficiency and reliability. In fact, they have proved such a hit with our customers that they are now requesting Shindaiwa for each hire.

“The team at Shindaiwa are also great to work with and the levels of service are the very best.”

The ECO 300 and 420 are diesel engine driven welder-generators powered by Kubota and feature eco mode and auto-idling as standard. The 300 is renowned for being the smallest and quietest in its class with a sound output level of just –88 ㏈ Lwa. The 420 is also a 14kVA three phase power generator, featuring four different welding modes making it one of the most versatile in the market. The PowerCenter 15 is compact in design, fully bunded and super silent to operate.

Shindaiwa Managing Director, Andy Munford, said: “We are delighted to be appointed by CHS Plant following successful trials. It is testament to the quality of our Shindaiwa range and the service that we provide that we are now the number one choice for both CHS Plant and their customers.”

Shindaiwa has been manufacturing welder generators for over 40 years and launched in the UK and Eire in 2010 having gained tremendous credibility in the industrial workplace.
